I mean, a few words I write on a world-renowned emcee who probably won’t even read my article won’t make a difference in their career, but one single positive article for some rising talents can be enough to push them to keep going and perfecting their craft until they finally do make it, and if that’s something I can do for even one artist to encourage them to not give up, I feel more fulfilled than I could ever imagine. I just feel like not only does an article help these up-and-comers gain more exposure and possibly new fans, but they also just benefit all around much more. Growing up in an African household with parents who often sang Gospel music and being raised in the church, played a huge role in Bongo’s career today.
